The Best Theater Your Money Can Buy!

CIA created al-Qaeda and gave $3 BILLION to Osama bin Laden

The US government trained, armed, funded and supported Osama bin Laden and his followers in Afghanistan during the cold war. With a huge investment of $3,000,000,000 (three billion US dollars), the CIA effectively created and nurtured bin Laden's al-Qaeda terrorist network using American tax-payers money. Afghanistan is one of the world's poorest countries, where such an enormous sum sum of money would have had extraordinary value.
BBC news article:
"...Bin Laden left Saudi Arabia in 1979 to fight
against the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. The
Afghan jihad was backed with American dollars
and had the blessing of the governments of Saudi
Arabia and Pakistan. He received security
    training from the CIA itself."
Forbes business information service article:
"...[Osama bin Laden] received military and
financial assistance from the intelligence services
of Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and the United States."
ABC News article:
"In the 1980s, bin Laden left his comfortable
Saudi home for Afghanistan to participate in the
Afghan jihad, or holy war, against the invading
forces of the Soviet Union - a cause that,
ironically, the United States funded, pouring
$3 billion into the Afghan resistance via the CIA."

The Myths of Al Qaeda
By Kirwan
You can’t make this shit up. The sheeple have been saved again by the wolves. Headlines blaring that a terrorist plot had been foiled by our beloved CIA were seen in every newspaper in America. The MSM dutifully gushed with praise for our ever vigilant protectors of liberty. Have you noticed that the last ten terrorist attacks that have been foiled by our CIA, FBI or whatever DHS agency needs some positive publicity were all created by the agencies that supposedly foiled the plots? Edward Bernays would be so proud of these government propagandists. The Feds need to keep the masses in fear of something in order to keep control, pass more laws, take away more freedom and essentially turn this country into a prison camp. And the sheep passively accept it all. The CIA is praised for creating a fake threat, thwarting it and then putting out press releases to honor themselves. I have only one thing to say about that:
The Yemen Underwear Bomb and Other Hobgoblins
Submitted by James E. Miller of the Ludwig von Mises Institute of Canada,
Today it was widely reported that the CIA thwarted a “plot by al Qaeda’s affiliate in Yemen to destroy a U.S.-bound airliner using a bomb.”  This bomb, which was to be concealed in a pair of underwear, was designed as an improvement over what Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab attempted to use to blow up an airliner over Detroit on Christmas Day of 2009.  This bomb was upgraded and designed to specifically avoid metal detectors.
At first glance it would appear to be a job well done by the world’s leading domestic affairs meddlers.
But like all of these instances, it was routinely denied “there was ever any immediate threat to the public.”  It was also revealed that:

The bomb plot had allegedly advanced to the point that a would-be suicide bomber was told to buy a ticket on the airliner of his choosing and decide the timing of the attack. It’s not immediately clear what happened to the would-be bomber.
It would seem that what the CIA recovered was essentially just a crudely made bomb.  The supposed bomber was nowhere to be found. There is no evidence presented as to a real threat or plan to use it.
The truth was finally revealed as the would-be bomber was, in fact, a double agent of the CIA.
When considering the nature of the state, this new instance of government supported terrorism is unsurprisingly comparable to previous cases.
Looking back at the original underwear bomber Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the mainstream narrative nowhere matches the disturbing details.  Not only was Abdulmutallab’s explosive device determined not to be functional but, according to undersecretary for management at the State Department Patrick Kennedy, his visa wasn’t confiscated and he was given access to the airplane for the purposes of conducting further investigation.  This came at the request of federal counterterrorism officials.
As former Assistant Secretary to the U.S. Treasury and acclaimed commentator Paul Craig Roberts documents in regards to attempted terrorist attacks since September 11, 2001:

If we look around for the terror that the police state and a decade of war has allegedly protected us from, the terror is hard to find. Except for 9/11 itself, assuming we accept the government’s improbable conspiracy theory explanation, there have been no terror attacks on the US. Indeed, as RT pointed out on August 23, 2011, an investigative program at the University of California discovered that the domestic “terror plots” hyped in the media were plotted by FBI agents.
Questions remain over foiled 'bomb plot'
Plot revealed after strike killing al-Qaida leader in Yemen – coincidence or convenient?

A sceptic might be forgiven for thinking it seemed all too convenient to be a coincidence.
The FBI was in a possession of a bomb which had been seized by the CIA and described as a more sophisticated version of the underpants device used in a bomb plot which went wrong but might have blown up an airliner over Detroit on Christmas Day in 2009.
The plot was announced a day after it was reported that Fahd al-Quso, a leading member of al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsular (AQAP) based in Yemen, was killed by a US drone. Quso, who was allegedly responsible for the 2000 attack on the ship, the USS Cole, in Yemen which killed 17 American sailors, was also alleged to have been involved in the 2009 underpants plot. American media reports suggested he was likely to have been involved in any plot to strike the US.
Quso is said to have had replaced Anwar Al-Awlaki as head of AQAP foreign operations, an American killed by a US drone strike last year.
Last month, Barack Obama approved a significant escalation of drone strikes in Yemen, allowing the CIA and the US Joint Special Operations Command to attack targets engaged in activities considered suspicious, even if the identities of those who could be killed were unknown. Obama was first informed of the latest plot, also last month.
"While the president was assured that the device did not pose a threat to the public, he directed the department of homeland security and law enforcement and intelligence agencies to take whatever steps necessary to guard against this type of attack," according to Caitlin Hayden, deputy national security council spokeswoman at the White House.

The real question will always remain. When will the public stop believing the lies perpetrated against them and stop living in fear? When will they believe that all this fear is manufactured by little old men hiding behind a curtain somewhere, a la "Wizard of Oz"...Hmmmm, I wonder.
